alzheimer's society dementia
We decided we wanted to link our trend campaign with a charity to help raise money and awareness- all for a good cause. We decided to go with Alzheimer's society as we could all relate to this charity from various family members having this awful disease. We have therefore set up a charity funding page, which is quick and easy to donate, as well as ensuring that the money 100% goes straight to the charity! Our aims are to raise as much money as we can for the Alzheimer's Society Charity in 2017, to help those and families affected, as well as the money going towards funding to help find a cure. By clicking the link below, you will be taken straight to our funding page with simple easy steps on how to donate, remember Dementia is currently the biggest health and care challenge wordwide faced. By 2021, over a million people will be living with the condition.
Katie Chapman Story
I feel very passionate about Alzheimer's Society because my Grandad has Vascular Dementia. He was diganosed with the disease about three years ago, and since then has been a struggle for everyone involved. Last year on June 2nd, my Grandad was taken into a Dementia Care Home because it got increasingly difficult to look after him and keep him safe.
I have wanted to do fundraising for a while but was unsure about of how to do it, my college course assignment has given me a great opportunity to raise money and awareness for this amazing charity that has helped my family through so much, and to help find a cure for this horrific disease! Any money donated would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Alzheimer's Society story
Dementia can devastate lives. For someone with the condition, as well as their family and friends, dementia means the plans you made, and the future you thought you had, will not be so.
Alzheimer’s Society’s mission is to transform the landscape of dementia forever. In our new strategy, the New Deal on Dementia, we make a commitment to be available to every person who receives a diagnosis. We want everyone affected by dementia to know that, whatever you are going through wherever you are, whoever you are, you can turn to Alzheimer’s Society for support, help and advice. Until we find a cure, we will strive to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported, accepted and able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
