Welcome Friends!
We, Katie Chapman, Katie Scott and Raminta Veličkaitė (in order of photo) are all University level students at Swindon College who are currently studying Advanced Beauty Therapy Level 4. We have created KRK trends which stands for our first initials as we're undergoing a Public Relations Assignment which we need your help with! The aim is to create a new trend and to get it trending globally through social media that is beauty, hair and fashion inspired, which we're sure you all agree will be extremely exciting!
After looking through all our ideas (which was a lot!), we were extremely torn between deciding on one final idea to trend, as we're sure you can relate to this too. What was we going to do? How were we going to decide? Well, instead we decided as a group it would work well if each of us picked an idea each that we felt passionate about and wanted to trend, therefore putting all three of the ideas together. We decided it would be easier to go with a specific theme for all of our three ideas to be inspired from, and therefore choose the 80’s era (that’s right, we love the 80's). The three final ideas we have chosen to trend are crimping hair, oversized denim jackets and pom-pom lace chokers- all of which can reflect back to the 80’s but still have a modern twist to hopefully enhance its chances of trending successfully in 2017!
We didn't want to stop just there, we wanted to link our campaign to raise money and awareness for someone or a charity, and for that reason, we've joint with Alzheimer's society dementia to start fundraising for this awful disease, that has affected various family members of ours. So, we're sure if you're still reading this now, you would agree that it would be amazing to see something great come out of this, to help Alzheimer’s society raise money and join the fight against dementia!
